The PR-781G works great on my IC-756ProIII but yet it’s not that much bass on the Icom radio, but then the PR-781G was designed for the Icom IC-7800. I’m using a Heil HM-12 with the TS590SG and it is not near as much bass as the Heil PR-781G is on the 590SG. I use the DRV out on the TS-590SG as an antenna for the SDRPlay. This way I have full control over the radio and use the SDR Console to monitor other frequencies at the same time using the computer speakers. They all play nicely with no problems at all.

I’m running the HRD, ARCP-590G and SDR Console 3 all at the same time using with Virtual Serial Ports Emulator by with all baud 19200. I’ve heard that the Heil 781 is a good one, but have never tried it. I use the internal equalizer (setup through ARCP) to drastically change the super bassy audio of the Heil to something much better, with a User choice on the menu. Similarly, I use a GM4, which is WAY too bassy. > I wonder what Microphone you use & do you use an external equalizer? I cannot use the Kenwood ARCP software as I use HRD for logging the two does not work together on my computer. Obviously, it will take a lot of messing around with it to come up with the right settings for your voice and microphone, but once you find what those settings are, you don’t have to load ARCP again unless you want to change them again.
The settings you make in ARCP are stored in the radio and used whenever you select U on the menu. I’ve heard that the Heil 781 is a good one, but have never tried it.Īs far as using ARCP and conflicting with HRD, you only need to run ARCP once to set up the bandpass you want on the equalizer.
